Configuring Readers and Pin Pad (POS)

TRAY supports configuration with some internal and external card readers (also known as MSR). 

Readers can accept payments with gift cards and employee login cards.

Configuration:

1. On the POS login into TRAY.
2. Press the Functions button at the top of the screen.
3. Within Functions, under configuration, press the Admin button and then select Reader.
4. Selecting the Reader button will open the Reader Configuration.  From the Reader Configuration screen both the credit card swipe (also known as the MSR) on the side of the touchscreen (gift cards and employee cards) and the pin pad (credit cards) can be enabled and configured.
5. Reader Configuration settings

   READER TYPE	DESCRIPTION
   None	Use if there is no MSR attached to the POS
   SecureMag	Use if POS is utilizing an external MagTEK USB MSR or if the POS is an Aures Yuno POS
   Internal MSR	Use if NEED INFO HERE
   MagTek eDynamo	Use if POS is an ELO model
   MicrosReader	Use if the POS is a Micros model 610
   Moby 5500	Use if the POS is a Samsung tablet utilizing the Moby 5500 card reader

6. Once the Reader Configuration is set for the MSR reader type, select the checkmark in the FreedomPay checkbox to enable the pin pad.
7. Select CONNECT.
8. At this point the pin pad screen should change messages from “This Lane Closed” to “SECURED BY FREEDOMPAY”. 
9. 
10. The MSR is now ready for reading gift cards and employee cards.  The pin pad is now ready to process credit transactions.
