This quick reference document provides the steps to add an additional receipt printer or kitchen printer in TRAY HQ. For additional information or information on adding other devices please see the articles at the links below.

- Access your site on TRAY HQ
- Select Hardware from the side menu
- Select the Printers/Drawers option from the top menu.

Select Add Printer.
Fill the following details in the Add Printer screen.
Field Description Name Name of the Printer. Failover Printer A list of other available printers that this device will failover to if the POS cannot communicate with it primary printer. Printer Type Click Receipt or Order Printer.
Receipt Printer: prints a guest copy of the receipt.
Order Printer: prints the order that would be useful for a cook to create the order.
Third Party Receipts Prints customer copies of app orders (such as OLO) (Receipt printers only). Cash Drawer
Toggle for attached cash drawers. (Receipt printers only).
Model Printer manufacturer. Paper Width Typically set to Default. Determines the width of paper in use in the printer. Port Printer connection type. IP Address IP field for TCP printers.
MAC address
MAC field for TCP printers. Print copies Specify number of receipt copies per print. Ring buzzer Toggles buzzer function, if attached. (Order printers only). Buzzer delay Set the delay between order prints and buzzer activation. (Order printers only). Test Printer Does not consider the device in the hardware count. Hide Footer Removes the default footer with the app info from receipts. (Receipt printers only). Card Receipt Copy When selected, prints two receipts for Credit card orders. (Receipt printers only). Description Custom footers can be entered here (only if an existing JSON has not been applied to the site settings).

Select Add Printer.
- Click the black "Save" button at the bottom of the pop-up window.
The printer can now be assigned to a device.
