Product Groups Report (HQ)

The Product Groups report is an Orders report that provides a summary of the menu items sold, sorted by their respective product group. Product Groups are intended to be used for reporting purposes to group products into a reporting category that is not related to/dependent on the Menu Category or Main Categories.  Any menu items that are not sold will not display in this report. The output of the report is sorted alphabetically by the name of the product group, menu items not assigned to a product group will show at the top followed by menu items that have a product group assigned.

The Product Group report can be exported to CSV, Excel, and PDF format. 

HQ Reports

On TRAY HQ, select the REPORTS tab across the top menu. From there select the Reporting Category Selector and from the Orders report select the Product Groups report.

Product Groups report filters

FIELD	DESCRIPTION
PERIOD	Select the period for which you want to generate the report. By default, it is set to Today, once a custom date range is entered it will be change to Custom.
START DATE	Select the date from which you want to generate the report.
END DATE	Select the date until which you want to generate the report.
SITES	Select the site from the drop-down list. You can only select one site at a time.
SORT	Sorts the items on the report by item name or PLU.
TYPE	Detailed or Summary view. Detailed - breaks out each day into individual sections on the report. Report can only be generated for up to 7 days at a time. Summary - lists total quantity of products sold across the date ranges instead of separated by date. Report can only be generated for up to 36 days at a time.
PRODUCT GROUP	Select the product group from the drop-down list. You can select multiple product groups.
ITEM	Select the menu item from the drop-down list. You can select multiple menu items.
SERVICE	Select the service from the drop-down list. You can select multiple services.

Product Group report fields

FIELD	DESCRIPTION
DATE	The date the product was sold (only shows on detailed view).
PRODUCT GROUP	The name of the product group (will show - for any products with no Product Group).
PLU	The PLU of the product.
ITEM	The name of the product.
PRICE	The price of the product.
COUNT	The quantity sold of the product.
COUNT %	The percentage of the count in relation to the total count in the product group.
DEDUCTIONS COUNT	The quantity of product deductions (comps/discounts).
DEDUCTIONS	The dollar amount of the deductions for that product.
VOID COUNT	The quantity of product voids.
VOIDS	The dollar amount of the voids for that product.
NET SALES	The total net sales of the products sold. Any products configured as donations, service charges, or gift cards will show net sales here as 0. Refer to the price column to see the sold price of each product.
SALES %	The percentage of the net sales in relation to the total net sales in the product group.
