Admin - Permissions - POS Permissions (HQ)

The following is a list of all applicable POS Permissions. These may not all be available on all TRAY Servers. POS permissions are distinguishable from above store permissions by looking at the format. All POS permissions are one word, whereas above store permissions are separated. (i.e. POS = PermissionName, above store = Permission Name)

FIELD	DESCRIPTION
AddItems	Permission to add items to the cart.
AdjustCheck	Legacy Permission, no longer used.
AdjustTip	Permission to adjust the tip amount on a closed CC transaction (Only supported by FreedomPay).
ADMIN	Permission to access the Admin tab on the POS.
AllowCustomReasons	Permission to enter a custom reason code, bypassing the configured reason codes.
AllowLowCashTips	Permission to bypass the Low Tip Alert while clocking out.
AuthorizeBreak	Permission to go on break without needing authorization.
AutoCloseTabs	A user with this permission has their checks automatically close at the end of the trading day.
AutoLogout	Forces the user to logout after firing an order.
BackOnSignature	Permission to go back on the customer-facing signature/tip screen.
BalanceTab	Permission to balance each open check using discounts and refunds or small payments.
CaptureTaxExemptId	Permission to apply a tax exemption to an order from the POS.
CashDrop	Allows a user to perform a Cash Drop No Sale function, assuming the Cash Drop is configured.
ChangePrice	Permission to change the price of open items.
ChangeRoutings	Permission to change routing themes from the POS.
CHAT	Legacy Permission
Checks	Permission to view the list of open\closed checks.
ClockAllOut	Permission to clock out other users.
ClockOnly	This permission will only record a time entry for a user, it will not allow them to log into the POS and take transactions.
ClockOutWithOpenChecks	Permission to clock out with open checks.
CloseDay	Permission to use the Close Day function (balance and close all checks using discounts and refunds or small payments at end of the trading day).
CompOrder	Permission to comp an order or item prior to firing the order.
CompTab	Permission to comp an order or item after firing the order.
DeclareCashTips	Prompts a staff member to declare cash tips after clocking out.
Developer	Permission to access developer options.
Discounts	Permission to apply discounts.
EarlyBreakIn	Permission to bypass the break enforcement time.
EditTable	Permission to make visibility changes to the Table Map from the POS.
FireOrder	Permission to send an order to the kitchen.
ForcePartySelection	Forces the staff member to select a party from the existing list (Reservations).
FullBalance	Don't exclude authorized credit card payments when computing payment totals (use full balance).
GIFT	Legacy Permission
Gratuity	Permission to Apply, Edit or Remove any gratuity from a check.
GuestDiscounts	Legacy Permission
HoldCheck	Permission to leave check/tab open and start a new check.
KDS	Permission to access the KDS app from TRAY.
KDSSettings	Permission to access the KDS Settings from the KDS application.
KickDrawer	Permission to open eligible cash drawers.
KickDrawerOnClockOut	Opens the drawer when someone with this permission clocks out.
ManagerDiscounts	Permission to apply manager-level discounts that have the "Manager Approval" flag applied.
ManagerImpersonation	Permission to receive payment on behalf of other staff.
ManagerTenders	Permission to allow users to apply tender types with the "Manager Tender" flag applied.
ManualEntry	Permission to manually enter credit cards from the POS.
ManualRefund	Permission to perform a non revenue credit card refund on a closed check from a previous trading day.
MustSwipe	Enforces that the user must swipe their employee card. Their Quick Code cannot be used to sign in.
NoClockInRequired	Users with this permission will not generate a time entry.
NoSale	Permission to access the no sale function.
NoVoidReasons	This permission will bypass the preset void reasons and allow a user to enter custom reasons.
OfflineManualAuto	Permission to change the Auto Offline configurations from the POS.
OfflineMode	Permission to toggle the offline mode settings.
OLORefund	Permission to refund payments that were applied from OLO, does not apply to POS payments.
OrderStatus	Show order status button on kiosks.
OtherChecks	Permission to access other staff's checks.
OverrideScheduleEnforcement	Permissions to bypass the schedule enforcement restrictions Only applies to clients utilizing our existing scheduling integrations
POSReports	Permission to access the "POS Reports" button within Functions that will launch TRAY HQ.
POSSettings	Permission to access the POS Settings from the TRAY Application.
Prefs	Legacy Permission
PrintAllReports	Permission to print reports for all staff.
PrintCheckoutReport	Permission to print a server checkout report.
PrintCheckoutWithOpenChecks	Permission to print a checkout report while the user still has open checks.
PrinterManagement	Permission to Add or Delete a printer from the KDS application.
PrintFullReport	Permission to print the Full Report under manager functions.
PrintItems	Permission to print individual items in a check.
PrintReports	Permission to print the sales reports from the Functions tab.
PrintTimeClockReport	Permission to print a time clock report that shows all users time entries for the given trading day.
ProductAvailability	Permission to 86/un86 items (mark them available or unavailable).
RefundCheck	Permission to void/comp all payments and items with one button labeled "Refund Check".
ReloadMenus	Permission to reload the menus using the refresh icon (while signed into the POS).
ReloadVenueDetails	Permission to reload the venue details using the refresh icon (from the POS login screen).
RemoveItems	Permission to remove items from the cart prior to firing them.
ReopenOldTab	Permission to reopen a check from previous trading days
ReopenTab	Permission to reopen a closed check.
ReuseDrawer	Permission for a staff member to clock into a terminal that has a till assigned to another user.
SeatToSeat	Shows seat-to-seat button on kiosks.
SeeAllPrinters	See all printers/drawers when checking in.
SendPriorityOrder	Permission to user to fire priority orders to the kitchen.
ShowAdjustButton	Legacy Permission
SideWorkException	This permission allows a breech of the Side Work Waiver requirements to be authorized.
SideWorkWaiver	This permission is for those staff who need to declare confirmation that only specified percentage(hours) of side work is done (80/20).
StayClockedIn	Permission to stay clocked in at the end of trading day time. The auto-logout process will skip this role. Assuming one user at the site has this permission, all other users will get auto clocked out at the trading day time.
TillCheckin	Permission to checkIn without a drawer when there is already a staff clocked in with a drawer.
TipConfirmation	Permission to bypass the Tip Alert.
TrackTill	If set will track till opening balance (if Opening Balance" no-sale exists), closing balance (if "Closing Balance" no-sale exists) and till discrepancies (if "Till Balance" no-sale exists).
TransferItems	Permission to transfer items from one guest to another on the same check, or to transfer the items to a separate check.
TransferCheckItems	Permission to transfer items from one check to another check.
TransferGuestItems	Permission to transfer items from one guest to another guest on the same check.
TransferTab	Permission to transfer the check to another user, revenue center, location or merge checks.
UseTicketWizard	This permission will force the user to use the ticket wizard when using loyalty lookup if waivers are enabled.
ViewAllReports	Permission to view reports for all staff.
ViewReports	Permission to view the sales reports from the Functions tab.
ViewShifts	Permission to view the shift schedules for the current week Only applies to clients utilizing our existing scheduling integrations
VoidCard	Permission to void credit card payments.
VoidCash	Permissions to void cash payments.
VoidItem	Legacy Permission
VoidOrder	Permission to void an item.
