KDS Settings are where the available configuration options for the KDS application exist. Every device that has the TRAY application must also have the KDS application on it, and the KDS application must be correctly configured to handle all things related to order routing/printing.
There are also devices that just have the KDS application, such as kitchen display screens. The KDS Settings can either be accessed from TRAY HQ in Hardware - Device Settings or from the KDS application on the POS or KDS device by pressing the "Admin" button in the top right corner and then pressing "Settings". This article will specifically cover the available configurations in TRAY HQ.
Once any information has been added or updated, you will need to Publish the information by choosing using the "Save and Publish" button at the bottom or by choosing the "Save" button at the bottom and then the blue “Publish” button at the top of the screen. Choose “Site Settings” and then the “Publish” button.

When an order comes into the new state, you can set it to beep while in 'new' state, until the order state changes (note: this will beep every 5 seconds) or you can set it to beep 1 time when a new order comes in. Note: Your device has to have speakers or some sort of audio output (note: HDMI audio only works if the HDMI monitor is HDMI Arc compatible). |

When choosing No for this setting, orders will come in but might need to be delayed when firing to the kitchen based on respective cook time; orders will be kept in the held state until they meet their cook time and then they will fire. If you want orders to come in and print all at once you will choose Yes for this setting. |
