Taxes should now be created in TRAY using the "Taxes" tab on HQ.
Taxes can be accessed by navigating to your site and clicking on Taxes on the left-hand side.
Once you create a Tax Category here, any taxes set at the Category level will no longer be recognized or applied. Category taxes cannot be combined with the new taxation.
If a category is assigned to two tax rates, both tax rates will apply and stack.
Permission requirements: View Taxes, Add Taxes, Edit Taxes, Delete Taxes
TAXES
To add a tax category, navigate to your site and click the "Taxes" tab on the left-hand side. From there click "New Tax".
Click the “Save” button to save changes.
FIELD | DESCRIPTION |
TAX CATEGORY NAME | Enter the name of the Tax Category. |
REVENUE CENTERS |
Select which revenue centers this Tax Category will be applicable for. Leaving this field blank will apply to all revenue centers. |
PRODUCT CATEGORY | Select which categories this Tax Category will apply to. |
ROUNDING OPTIONS |

TAX PERCENTAGE |
Enter the percentage applicable to this Tax Category. |
DISPLAY ON RECEIPT |
Allows the user to select whether or not the Tax Category is displayed on the guest receipt. |
Once the information has been added or updated, you will need to Publish the information by using the blue “Publish” button at the top of the screen. Choose “Taxes” and then click the black “Publish” button.
