The naming rule allows you to give a different name for the menu item that appears in the app, HQ, receipt, menu, KDS, and tags to filter the item when searching.
To add a naming rule:
- Log into your site in which you want to add the naming rule.
- In the left menu, click Naming Rule.
The existing naming rule appears.
- To add a new naming rule, Click Add Naming Rule.
The following table provides the details of the UI fields in the Add Naming Rule screen.
Field Description Master Name Enter the master name of the menu item for which you are creating the naming rule. Button Name Enter the name of the item that should appear in POS. Recipient Name Enter the name of the item that should appear in the order receipt. Online Display Name Enter the name of the item that should appear in the Web order. KDS Name Enter the name of the item that should appear in the KDS. Marketing Name Enter the marketing name for the menu item. Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) Enter the GTIN of the menu item. Tags Enter keywords for the menu item to filter when searching for the item.
- Click Save to create the naming rule for the selected menu item or click Cancel to discard the changes.
You have successfully created the naming rule for the menu item.
To edit the Naming Rule, click the Edit link against the Naming Rule.
To delete the Naming Rule, click the Delete link against the Naming Rule.
