In order to close a check after firing orders the check balance must be $0.00. You can achieve this by apply tenders to the check. Tenders may be applied to the check from the payment screen. It also allows the user to select Full Payment or Split Payment.
Full Payment
By default, when tendering a check, the full payment option is preselected. Any tender applied to the check will apply to the full unpaid balance of the check.
- Login into TRAY.
- Select the Items from Menu section.
- Selected menu items will be populated into Order Summary with price.
- Select Send & Pay.
- Choose the Tender you are applying from one of the four Yellow Tender buttons below. For this example, the CASH Tender will be used.
NOTE: The Tender options below will only appear if the site is configured for that tender.
- Enter the amount of cash given by the customer. You can also use one of the predetermined amounts or the FULL button in the case of exact change.
- Once the Unpaid balance in the lower right corner is $0.00, the check will be automatically closed. If you have reopened an existing check, you will have to manually close the check when finished.
Split Payment
Users can apply split payments for all available tenders. Multiple tender types can be used to complete the transaction as long as the balance is fully paid.
