A printer is configured as both an order printer and a receipt printer (same physical device, two functions): in this case, it will first print the order stub and then the receipt.
In the PRINTERS tab, you can see each printer that is configured for that site, including its status, name, whether it is designated as a receipt printer, its IP address, and MAC address. USB printers will be marked as USB instead of TCP, and will have their IP and MAC blank. Order Printers (Receipt set to No), can also be set to buzz when a receipt prints and the buzz delay is configurable. Receipt Printers can have cash drawers assigned to them if installed at POS Terminals.
- Login to HQ with your credentials.
- Select Sites and login to your site.
- Select Printers.
The Printer screen appears.
- Select Add Printer..
Fill the following details in the Add Printer screen.
Field Description Name Name of the Printer. Receipt Printer? Receipt/Order printer assignment toggle. User Receipts? Prints customer copies of app orders. Receipt printers only.
Toggle for attached cash drawers. Receipt printers only.
Type Printer manufacturer Port Printer connection type IP Address
IP field for TCP printers.
MAC field for TCP printers. Print copies Specify number of receipt copies per push. Ring buzzer Toggles buzzer function, if attached. Order printers only. Buzzer delay Set the delay between order prints and buzzer activation. Order printers only. Test Printer Tests the Printer. Hide Footer Removes the footer with the app info from receipts. Receipt printers only. Card Receipt Copy When selected, prints two receipts for Credit card orders. Receipt printers only. Description Enter the details of the printer.
- Select Save.
The Printer is successfully added.
