Offline support allows you to access the terminals/devices when you lose Internet connection during business hours. The support lets you perform business as usual and when internet connection is back syncs the data so that there are no discrepancies.
In the Device screen, a new switch, OFFLINE SUPPORT is added that allows you to use the POS device when there is minimal or no internet connection.
Note: By default, the OFFLINE SUPPORT is OFF and Staff with developer permission can turn on the offline mode.
When OFFLINE SUPPORT is ON: A new button, MODE gets created in POS settings and you can use the POS device with minimal internet connection.
When OFFLINE SUPPORT is OFF: The POS device functions as usual and syncs the data collected when offline with the system.
To set up offline mode:
- Login to POS device.
- Select Admin.
- Select Setup.
- Select DEVICE tab.
- Select ON to turn on offline mode.
